Procurement Expeditor Reporting to the Project Buyer Manager, you will be supporting the Expediting of Supply Chain deliverables supporting the Project Buyers. You are required to liaise with ANL operational teams including our Quality Engineers and informing Clients (Stakeholders) to ensure the efficient delivery of the Project Procurement Plan.
Our Junior Buyer is a key position within the Procurement department and is responsible for the effective and efficient Expediting of ANL contracts placed in our approved supply chain. This requires good communication skills, robust surveillance of contract activities, generating accurate detailed records and extensive photographic evidence of supplier progress.
The role will also support the procurement function in day to day tasks such as reporting on KPI s and general purchases which may involve raising some Purchase Orders under the instruction of Project Buyers or Project Buyer Manager.
Key Activities/Decision Areas Expediting responsibilities for contracts in our supply chain; this will require you to work across multiple contracts and liaise with a wide-ranging ANL personnel, you must remain proactive and maintain good communications.
Maintaining accurate supplier contract status with visible surveillance points for quality.
Expedite documentation from/to supply chain using Ansaldo Nuclear Vault software as a data register.
Expedite components from Supply Chain & keep the wider team informed of any potential issues or delays
Supply chain surveillance and expediting the release of components using our Quality Engineers Constant oversight & progressing of supplier documentation; proof of progress (photographs, certification) and concurrent Life Time Records
Obtain quotes in line with procedures and issue purchase orders for equipment and services as required.
Manage supplier relationships. Negotiate with suppliers in respect of costs, discounts, and delivery performance with support of Procurement team.
Accurate placement of PO s, expedite to ensure on time in full delivery with no invoice queries.
Provide logistics support to the Procurement team.
Assist Procurement team in the management of site & hire purchases.
Maintenance of supplier information within the Ansaldo Supply Chain Portal.
Assist in producing departmental weekly and monthly KPI s.
Essential role related knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience Ideally 3 years minimum experience in Procurement as buyer / expeditor
Ability to liaise and co-operate with other departments and within a Project Team
Proficient in using MS Office - Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel
Able to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision
Self-motivated
Conversant with any statutory terms & conditions of contract
Full Clean Driving licence for travel as and when required (10%)
Successful applicant will be required to be security cleared to at least SC level within 6 months of the appointment
