What this opportunity involves: The role primarily exists to provide professional team supervision and leadership for the day-to-day operations of local facilities teams and associated contractors. This is for all facilities associated activities both planned and unplanned within the respective business centre and affiliates centres.
This role is a casual Facilities Manager role based out of Rockhampton.
An Overview of the role: Ensure clear focus on delivering effective and efficient planned and unplanned facilities maintenance services in an industrial environment Ensure safety management principles and objectives are communicated and initiatives implemented Ensure safety improvements are realised through regular communication and interactions with team and contractors Ensure safety management systems are implemented and monitored for team Ensure investigations for incidents are proactively managed and resolutions are achieved within designated timeframes Ensure customer expectations are mutually agreed through engagement with managers and team Demonstrate personal ownership of safety through proactive risk-based decision making Communicate, demonstrate, and ensure commitment to our client's vision and values and operational priorities Display fairness, build trust and maintain respectful relationships through open lines of communication vertically and horizontally Define and delegate work to be done with adequate resources and progress measurements Ensure team members have clear, current, and measurable goals and objectives and ensure commitment to team KPI's Provide regular team briefings, 1:1 coaching and individual development plans to enhance team members' performance and raise the bar for the team to a consistent standard Sound like the job you are looking for? Before you apply it's also worth knowing what we are looking for: Ability to work independently, prioritise works and good communication skills Current Drivers is Essential for the role Willingness to travel Experience with facility inspections Average understanding of financial impact of building concerns (expense and capital planning) Technical knowledge of building systems and facilities management processes Strong contractor management and relationship management skills Ability to travel as there is a significant travel requirement for this position Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service Knowledge of Excel and ability to analyse data Proven record of effectively using software applications Knowledge of basic business practices Any similar combination of education and experience What can you expect from us?
