About the role: Reporting directly to the Superintendent of Safety, this exciting opportunity highlights our dedication to creating a progressive environment where safety is our top priority. This role will support 5 department leads to maintain and monitor our equipment as well as coach and mentor our employees and contractors through isolation best practices.

Key Accountabilities: Develop and execute isolation plan to improve Metallurgy process.Inspect plant and equipment isolations, perform monthly permit audits, and provide detailed reports identifying quality issues and recommending actionable improvements.Develop and implement systems to audit permits during planned shutdowns, ensuring they are completed and risks are appropriately managed before work begins.Lead efforts to meet isolation and permitting requirements while upholding safety and compliance standards.Provide mentoring and coaching to employees and contractors to permit issuers and authorized isolators, supporting their development and success.Review and update procedures and work instructions to ensure they align with high operational and safety standards.Management of any non-compliance isolation breaches in conjunction with relevant stakeholders. Qualifications and Skills: Tertiary Qualification (advantageous).Certificate IV Trainer & Assessor (desirable).Prior experience in mining and metalliferous operations.Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.Thorough knowledge of safety systems, training frameworks, WHS legislation, and relevant Australian Standards.Proven experience in a role similar or with the skills transferable to undertake the expectations of Glencore.
