About the opportunity We're looking for an experienced Inventory Planner to join our Group Supply Chain team in Hindmarsh, South Australia.
This position is full time and offered on an 11-month Maximum Term basis.
Reporting to the Inventory Planning Leader, you'll maintain healthy inventory levels across our network of warehouses in Australia and offshore, in line with supply chain processes and adherence to service level agreements.
In addition, you'll track and trace shipping for the Detmold Group.
Your ability to interpret large amounts of numerical data to make decisions and take the best course of action is critical; you are commercially astute.
We work in a fast-paced environment, with time pressures and inventory deadlines; you'll need an agile approach and the abilities to multi-task and prioritise a diverse mix of tasks and responsibilities.
In terms of specific responsibilities, you will: Inform the Demand team of significant variances to forecast. Communicate regularly with the Sales team to ensure consistent supply. Place all orders on the plant within expected lead times. Expedite and de-expedite orders in line with demand variation. Rectify errors and identify opportunities to improve inventory parameters. Develop collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders. Identify stakeholder needs, provide information and obtain feedback on the supply function. About you What you'll need:
Experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing or retail supply chain environment. Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills. The ability to balance working on projects, performing daily activities and troubleshooting. High level proficiency in analysing and interpreting data to inform decision making. Intermediate to advanced Excel capability and strong data management skills. A calm and resilient demeanour. A collaborative, friendly and team focused approach. While not essential, a tertiary qualification in business, business management or supply chain will be highly regarded.
