Job Description Position: Intervention Business Unit Manager Location: Tokyo, Japan < Reporting to: Intervention Commercial Leader, APAC Dotted report to Japan Surgical/Uro Senior BU Director PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE OF POSITION KEY AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES -Develops and implement the strategy and actions to drive growth of the business in Japan -Leads the overall P&L, including sales, contribution margin (ROI) and headcounts-collaborates in product development efforts concerning an assigned group of products.
-Manages business partners (distributors and key opinion leaders) effectively to deliver sustainable and profitable growth-To develop and maintain the relationship with KOL in order to assess the market needs and future business opportunities.-develops people and talent in the organization for future growth -To communicate a clear vision and effective direction in both sales and marketing activities, together with providing appropriate training/development programs to his/her subordinates.
-Identifies and develops new business opportunities, aligning the corporation, helping build organizational capabilities and create a strong presence in Japan KEY AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES •Plan and execute both short/long term revenue deriving strategies of the organization •Respond to market dynamics and changes •Understand medical device industry and market dynamics, and have extensive experience in sales and marketing in interventional business •Develop annual budgets •Structure innovative and profitable customer deals •Develop marketing plans to build customer preference and drive volumes •Direct the activities sales and marketing teams •Maintain segmentation of market to drive business objectives •Formulated the short/medium term operating plans, sales forecast & budgets and related technical operations, administration, finance and accounts.

Develop a robust pipeline of diverse leaders with skills to succeed in a complex and dynamic marketplace and champion initiatives to promote and inclusive workplace environment and highly engaged workforce Education / Experience /Specialized Skills & other Requirements: •A strong track record of developing and managing a sizeable business in healthcare related industries such as medical device/equipment, pharmaceutical, diagnostics and bio related areas.
•A proven track record of developing and managing a highly motivated organization through effective hiring, training and motivation of his/her subordinates.
•High level of energy and aggressive mentality.
•Be hands-on and result oriented, quick in decision-making and action taking.
•Be reliable and trustworthy, but flexible enough and creates an environment of openness and trust.
