This accounting firm is an established CPA practice and business advisory specialist, located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
They are renowned for providing a superior level of professional quality and comprehensive services to their clients, specialising in asset protection; tax planning; cloud accounting solutions; self-managed superannuation funds; and structuring and developing business strategies for small to medium enterprises.
Due to the increased demand for their quality services, they are seeking to employ an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join their progressive firm.
The Position...
In this position, you will be working as part of a team of accountants whilst reporting directly to both the Management team and Partners.
You will be predominantly working as a Business Services Accountant and SMSF Accountant, where you will be responsible for financial accounts, tax compliance and SMSF compliance matters while developing your business advisory skills, for a wide range of our clients.
In this role, you will be given the opportunity to work with a variety of clients of various structures including companies, partnerships and trusts, predominately SME's, and SMSF's, but you will also be given exposure to larger and more complex client groups.
To support in you in your role, full training and professional development will be provided.
The Ideal Candidate...
2 to 5 years of current Public Practice experience in Australia
Completed Australian tertiary studies
Commenced or be eligible and willing to commence either CA or CPA
Experienced in using Access Handisoft (preferable, but not mandatory)
Experienced in using BGL360 Simplefund (preferable, but not mandatory)
Have the passion and willingness to further develop your accounting and tax skills
Possess excellent presentation and communication skills
Have a positive and professional attitude
Be a strong team player but also confident and comfortable working independently
Be a lateral thinker and client focused
Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship
