About the role This is a full-time permanent position of 70 hours per fortnight located in Campbelltown NSW. About the opportunityAs an Intensive Family Preservation Caseworker, you will be a pivotal part of our Resilient Families team in Southwestern Sydney. This role involves providing evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally competent services to prevent children and young people from entering Out of Home Care (OOHC). You will manage a case load of up to five families, conducting intensive home visits, and offering support on weekends and through unannounced visits as necessary. Deliver evidence-based services focusing on safety, risk, and vulnerability assessment. Provide intensive casework services to families at risk of entering OOHC or supporting their return home post-placement.Implement evidence-based practice models and frameworks such as Homebuilders®, Domestic Violence Practice Framework, and Family Finding.Conduct risk assessments, develop intervention plans, and ensure the safety and well-being of children.Collaborate with stakeholders including Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) Caseworkers and community networks.Maintain accurate records, administer outcome measurement tools, and participate in on-call duties. Your Qualifications & Experience Degree qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or related fields with relevant casework experience.Minimum of two years' experience in child protection or related areas.Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to undergo training in specific models and frameworks.Ability to engage with diverse families, including Aboriginal and CALD backgrounds.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Commitment to professional development, social change, and promoting inclusivity.
