Details: Infrastructure Canberra is responsible for the planning and delivery of light rail infrastructure for the people of Canberra. A dedicated light rail team within the directorate, led by the Light Rail Executive Group Manager, Infrastructure, progresses light rail development activities on behalf of the ACT Government.
The Construction Surveillance Officer is a key role within the Infrastructure Branch and the construction workstream, which is responsible for coordination and management of the various construction interfaces associated with the design and delivery of the Project.
The Construction Surveillance Officer will report to the Senior Surveillance Officer and is required to liaise closely with staff and project advisors across Infrastructure Canberra, Project Co, Independent Certifier, National Capital Authority, Technical Advisor/s, and within the ACT Government as necessary.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements: Mandatory: Hold a relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture or Project Management or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia; orHold a relevant building degree; orHave significant building or Infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.Highly Desirable: Good working knowledge of WHS requirements in construction;Experience in the delivery of transportation assets and infrastructure within an urban environment;Knowledge of the ACT Government environment, including understanding of legislation as it applies to this project, particularly WHS.Note: Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
