About the roleThis role heads up FPDN's individual advocacy programs, with full responsibility for service delivery and leading a team of dedicated advocates who work directly with clients. Advocacy services are client-focused and aligned to the Disability Advocacy Standard, enabling clients to exercise their human rights.In addition to leading and coaching your team, this role will see you designing advocacy models, managing day-to-day client service operations, undertaking promotional activities (including engaging with community), liaising with funders to manage and report on contracts, developing and implementing best practice processes for optimal client experience and outcomes, and compliance with legislative requirements. As part of the senior management team, you will also contribute more broadly to FPDN's direction and development.This role is available on a fully remote or hybrid basis, depending on your location. FPDN has offices in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. Regular travel to offices and locations of the advocacy team is required, as well as attendance to periodic in-person meetings and FPDN events.About youYou are a values-driven leader with a passion for social justice and supporting people and communities to reach their full potential. You work collaboratively with your team and colleagues and effectively empower your team to deliver.
