Incident Liaison Officer – Perth & Queensferry

Location: Perth South Queensferry Category: Network Team Applications Close: Nov Fri, 2024 A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join BEAR Scotland as a Trunk Road Incident Liaison Officer.
This is a unique opportunity to work across two locations, Perth and Queensferry.
The Incident Liaison Officer, reporting into the Network manager, will be responsible for mobilising an effective response to incidents across our Trunk Road network on a 24 hours a day, seven days a week basis.
This role be based across the Perth and Queensferry offices.
There is a requirement to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern to ensure that roads are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (day and night shift).
Role includes: Assisting in monitoring the impact of incidents on journey times for road users. Assisting with the management of severe weather incidents and winter maintenance. Liaising with the emergency services and trunk road incident support units The deployment of emergency and winter maintenance crews Monitoring road conditions and weather reports Updating databases and associated record keeping. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Excellent communication skills. General IT skills. Experience in having successfully fulfilled a role of a similar nature such as an Emergency/Roads Authority or Utility Control Room environment would be desirable.
