ICT Project Manager Employment Type: Full-Time/Permanent & Contract/Temp Location: Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth Country/Region: Australia SCRUM | Agile project management | Business Intelligence | Analytics projects Plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the acquisition, development, maintenance and use of computer and telecommunication systems within organisations. The Data Analytics Team is the department's data powerhouse enabling data driven decisions, equity and overall evidence based improvement for our schools and students. Our team is involved in collecting, storing and transforming data, from multiple sources, into information and meaningful insights for use across Education and NSW. Scout is our main engine of delivery, with 45,000 plus users and over 2 million report runs per year, making it the largest education information-sharing platform in the world. You will be delivering Business Intelligence & Analytics projects through all phases of the project lifecycle using agile principles. As such you will be an experienced project manager who is comfortable managing multiple teams concurrently utilising meticulous project planning and time management. Your excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain realistic project plans to deliver successful results to the business are crucial. The successful candidate can anticipate working in an environment where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged to ensure optimum performance and outcomes for both employees and the organisation. Roles and Responsibilities: Support and manage the planning and delivery of critical, highly complex projects in the Analytics Branch Manage permanent, ad hoc and geographically dispersed teams to ensure the project outcomes are achieved on time and on budget Utilise your knowledge of SCRUM and Agile project management principles with and the ability to lead the project through this delivery approach. Develop and implement project plans and budgets to ensure the success of the overall program of work. Regularly communicate with key stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure project outcomes are met. Have a commitment to delivering a great user experience and value to customers. Skills Required/preferred: Appropriate tertiary qualifications related to project management of ICT projects. Exposure to project prioritisation and planning experience of ICT projects. Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people. Support and manage the planning and delivery of critical, highly complex projects in the Analytics Branch.
