This role is crucial to helping our suppliers comply with our Human Rights and Sustainability requirements. You will deep dive into our product ranges, managing ethical sourcing, forestry, human rights and sustainable materials information and identifying areas for improvement. As our Human Rights and Sustainability Lead, you will: Support ongoing supplier reviews, auditing and reporting on supplier performance and integration within the business Review factory audits to identify any breaches against the Officeworks ethical sourcing policy. Work with suppliers to develop a corrective action plan and monitor progress Support and educate suppliers around Officeworks requirements, providing supplier onboarding support Work with suppliers to remediate detected non-conformances and maintain the desktop remediation tracker and file remediation evidence for auditing Contribute to business compliance reporting, including monthly and annual reports and representation at key stakeholder meetings to provide updates and insights About youYou are inquisitive, resilient, and able to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholder alike. You are a natural problem solver with a strong desire to make an impact in sustainability. In addition, you will: Proven experience in a similar role with a strong background in sustainability, human rights and/or ethical sourcing (min 2 years +) Experience coordinating a broad ranging and dynamic ethical sourcing portfolio A good understanding of international best practices for social compliance Be an excel expert with strong experience with VLOOKUP, pivot tables and formulas a must You can communicate with confidence and influence Strong data and problem solving skills Have an incredible attention to detail and an eagerness to learn Our cultureIt's all in a day's work when you're part of the Officeworks community – where you're not defined by who you are, but what you can do.
