Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes across the Sicame Australia operational sites.
Maintain all Human Resource records, files, registers, templates, and forms in compliance with state laws and regulations.
Ensure legal compliance by maintaining knowledge and understanding of current Human Resource and Industrial Relations regulatory requirements.
Maintain, improve, and optimise the Human Resource management system, including policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
Provide day-to-day support, guidance, encouragement, and instructions to department Managers, Supervisors, and Leading Hands.
Manage all staff performance issues, including coaching, counselling, disciplinary actions and develop performance improvement plans when required.
Manage the recruitment of employees and assist with candidate screening and interviews, including inductions and onboarding of white-collar employees.
Complete in-house and Company Group HR reporting.
This would suit a candidate with a minimum of 5 years' proven track record in HR management, ideally within manufacturing or engineering companies with a workforce of over 100 employees.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum Certificate IV in Human Resource Management or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management.
High level of HR business acumen.
Knowledge of Australian employment laws, and working knowledge of QLD and NSW employment law.
Advanced understanding of key Industry-related awards and Fair Work Practices and processes.
Exceptional listening skills and the ability to relate to, support and coach employees of all levels in the organisation.
Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
The ability to present and facilitate group meetings and events.
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially when under pressure.
