Reporting directly to the HSEQ Operations Manager - Water, you will be responsible for the prevention of injuries and illness by partnering with local business management and workers to maintain a healthy and safe workplace. Based in Wetherill Park (WA), this position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.Nature of position: Permanent, Full TimeLocation: Wetherill Park, NSWReporting Line: HSEQ Operations ManagerKey Responsibilities:Providing support to our NSW Utilities project teams to ensure our company meets its Safety, Environment, Quality and client obligationsProviding specialist HSEQ advice and support to the businessCoaching and advising management and workers on meeting their work health and safety dutiesSupporting management and workers in the implementation of HSEQ policies, systems, programs, and initiatives and meeting local legislative requirementsPromoting a safe and positive work culture and role model safety leadership principlesProject field work, critical control effectiveness and investigations, verifying HSEQ management plansAssist business management in continually improving the company's risk management capabilitiesAbout you:Demonstrated experience in an HSEQ role with a strong quality background, highly regardedWorking knowledge of Legislation, Standards and Codes and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and AS 4801 standardsPrior experience managing Safety, Environment and Quality requirements on major engineering or construction projects, with a strong track record in working effectively with project contractors is highly regardedExperience in auditing, investigation and environmental/quality reportingExcellent communication and people management skillsPower, gas, water, heavy industry or other utilities industry experience desirableRelevant qualification in WHS/OH&S, Quality and / or Environment or Engineering/ScienceCert IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
