Families start in the program when their child is 3 (or turning 3 before 30 June 2025) or older.
HIPPY is all about helping guide families into being their child's first teacher and providing the tools and mentorship to support them.
HIPPY aims to be a fun and educational experience for everyone who enrols in the program as well as the Home Mentors.
About the Opportunity Note: This position is a one-year contracted, part time position (10-15 hours per week) with possibility of extension.
This position operates during school terms only. As a HIPPY Home Mentor, you bring your enthusiasm, creativity, and experience to our team where you work directly with parents and young children, guiding them through the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) program.
The program is designed to enrich early childhood education and support parents in fostering a nurturing home learning environment.
Central to this role is a genuine commitment to working inclusively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
You'll possess the sensitivity and insight central to fostering meaningful engagement and communication.
