Changes to the information below will be discussed with the relevant school/s impacted to ensure all parties are in agreeance.The role of the Head of Special Education Services may include:Provide strategic information and advice to school administration and build school capacity in work specific to students with disabilities, including:Policies and ProceduresSchool Transport Assistance Program for Students with DisabilitiesInteragency contact and co-ordinationNCCD processesSupport the facilitation/participate in complex case management teams and processes as requested by cluster principalsParticipate in Student support processes /team meeting as requested by cluster principalsFacilitate cluster NCCD moderationAdvise, support and build capability of SWD teachers in:Data LiteracyDifferentiationConsultation with therapy services and Advisory TeachersFunctional Behaviour AssessmentCo-ordinate disability specific Professional Development for SEP and school staff as requiredManage cluster financial resources so that all schools have equitable access to the Regional Allocated Specialist Support Staff Resource GrantOther activities identified and agreed at individual schoolsPlease refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
