Reporting to the CEO, this is a business critical and strategic hire, and will be responsible for leading and developing all the procurement strategies and activities across the organisation to meet business objectives.The role is based in their head office in Melbourne, Australia.The RoleAs the leader of the Procurement function you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities, providing leadership to the team within the function, and develop the short and long term strategies to create value for the overall organisation. The key responsibilities will be:Provide leadership and talent development of the Procurement Team who are responsible for the procurement of goods and services for the businessMaximise value across the business, whether that is within direct or indirect categories, through strategic sourcing of goods and services.Ensure continue supply of goods and services to meet all manufacturing and supply chain responsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the procurement strategy and framework that aligns to the organisations strategic planDeliver sustained value and competitive advantage for the business by working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliersYou will develop adherence policies and work with the business to ensure optimum service levels are achieved by all level of suppliersYour BackgroundWe are looking for a procurement professional that has experience running a range of categories in an organisation, specifically within a food manufacturing environment.You will be degree qualified and have a minimum of 7 years' experience managing a range of categories in a large organisation, predominately focus on procuring ingredients for a manufacturing environmentNaturally influential, you will engage stakeholders with ease and negotiate successfully to deliver on key business objectivesA strong leader, someone that support and develop a range or people across the procurement functionWell-developed compliance and regulation experience with the ability to manage supplier contractsA desire to continuously review and improve current processes, with a collaborative approach to all stakeholdersA deep understanding of how to manage strategic sourcing events and deliver value across a groupWhat's on offer?This is a great opportunity for a senior procurement leader to step into a role where you will lead the group strategy and develop a best-in-class function.
