About the RoleThe Head of Learning – Languages is a pivotal leadership position at Siena College, responsible for guiding faculty staff in delivering outstanding educational outcomes.
Working closely with the Deputy Principal Learning and Teaching, the successful candidate will lead faculty teams to implement innovative and effective curriculum strategies that reflect the College's vision and values.
The Head of Learning – Languages will foster collaboration and continuous improvement within their faculty, ensuring that students are supported to achieve excellence.
The role also involves mentoring staff, overseeing curriculum design and implementation, and contributing to the strategic educational priorities of the College.
Key Responsibilities College Leadership Actively promote and model the Catholic and Dominican ethos of the College.Embed high expectations for staff and students in achieving educational excellence.Foster authentic relationships with students, staff, and parents to build a collaborative and respectful school community.Educational Leadership Develop and implement faculty learning improvement plans aligned with College priorities.Lead faculty teams in designing and delivering innovative, data-informed curriculum strategies.Explore emerging technologies to enhance student learning opportunities.Mentor and support faculty staff in meeting professional standards.Foster a culture of professional learning, reflective practice, and collaboration.Lead the recruitment, development, and performance of faculty members.Operational and Administrative Leadership Oversee faculty budgets, resources, and facilities.Coordinate faculty events, assessments, and curriculum documentation.Promote student achievements through College publications and events.Key Selection Criteria Proven capacity for proactive educational leadership and driving continuous improvement in teaching and learning.In-depth understanding of contemporary educational research, trends, and best practices.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and support effective teams.Commitment to fostering a collaborative learning community and engaging all stakeholders.Evidence of ongoing professional learning and leadership development.Why Join Siena College?
