As the Head of Communications you will be responsible for corporate communications that promote, protect and differentiate the organisation's brand image, reputation, employer engagement and customer connection. This includes the formulation and implementation of internal and external communications strategies across multiple channels and via multiple media platforms.



Your new role


In this role you will: Develop and implement communications strategy to influence key stakeholders, supporting wider strategic imperatives and consistent with business goals and objectives. Provide counsel and support to Executives and senior leaders throughout the organisation to support communication strategies aligned to business unit objectives. Drive the internal communications agenda to ensure understanding of the vision, purpose and strategy of the organisation and increase employee engagement. Review and develop corporate communications delivery channels e.g. intranet, internet, etc, ensuring that these effectively position and deliver key messages. Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external business partners, industry associates and other contacts to ensure the continuing availability of appropriate quality services/information and promotion of QBE's interests. Lead and manage the Communications Team to ensure that people, resources and processes are aligned with current and future business needs and fit for purpose. Please note that for the successful candidate, this process will include a phone screen with our Talent Acquisition team, 2/3 interviews (either face to face or online via Teams) and background checks.



About you


To be successful in this role you will have extensive internal and external communication experience within a large organisation.


You will also have; Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization/external contacts. Brand development and management. Experience of handling all communication channels, including on-line, publishing, internal communications and events. Experience in assessing risks and issues and ensuring that the response is appropriate and proactive where required. Strong Leadership and influencing abilities. About QBE
