Role Description D & E Hospitality is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef for a full-time position based in Kangaroo Flat, VIC . This role primarily focuses on overseeing the catering operations for a retirement village, but the successful candidate will also contribute to other aspects of our food service, including café operations and catering for private events.
Key responsibilities include: Preparing and cooking a diverse range of meals. Managing day-to-day kitchen operations with a focus on efficiency and quality. Overseeing food inventory and ensuring supplies are well-stocked. Creating and implementing menus that are both creative and cost-effective. Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with occasional weekend shifts, working a total of 40 hours per week , making it ideal for those seeking a good work-life balance within a professional kitchen environment.
