APS5 Facilities Officer for initial Labour Hire contract for Federal Government Agency based in Canberra City

Hays are currently working with a Federal Government Agency based in Canberra City who are seeking an APS5 Facilities Officer to join their Property Management and Facilities team.

Your new role Reporting to the Assistant Director, Facilities Management, you will play an integral role in the team and will be responsible for:
Overseeing a team delivering in-house property services such as mail, meeting room setups, and logistical services. Managing subcontractors and outsourced service provider contracts. Managing maintenance requests logged with service providers to ensure completion. Providing technical knowledge of property and facilities management. Providing input for strategic direction for operational delivery of facilities services. Management of major and minor property office fit-outs under the direction of the Assistant Director. Undertaking procurement processes in line with Commonwealth procurement rules. What you'll need to succeed Experience in overseeing a team delivering in-house property services. Experience in managing subcontractors and outsourced service provider contracts. Experience in managing maintenance requests with service providers. Technical knowledge of property and facilities management. Ability to provide strategic input for operational delivery of facilities services. Experience in managing property office fit-outs. Familiarity with Commonwealth procurement processes. What you'll get in return Initial 6/12 month labour hire contract with the possibility of extension.
