The Opportunity: The Northern Territory Government is delivering the largest ship lift in Northern Australia, establishing Darwin as a key player in the global marine services industry. Hall Contracting is seeking an experienced Backhoe Dredge Operator to join the dredging operations for the Darwin Ship Lift project team.
FIFO and DIDO applicants will be considered.
Key Responsibilities: Constant monitoring and operation of dredge controls to ensure optimal dredge operation. Maintain dredge availability to meet or exceed planned efficiency goals. Any other ad-hoc duties as required e.g. maintenance, break down assistance. Maximizing production whilst maintaining a safe work environment. Work on a 20:10 roster with day and night shifts. Carrying out duties in line with OH&S standards. Actively participating as an integral member of the team. About You: Previous experience operating a Backhoe Dredge. Self-driven, reliable, high interest in the mechanical trades. Professional manner when communicating with clients. A keen eye for details and pride in your work.
