Group Procurement Manager

Lead a team of 3 in this heavy machinery manufacturing company Leverage relationship with suppliers, identifying cost saving initiatives About Our Client Our client is a private-owned Australian group with a number of well-known brands in the heavy machinery market. They have a manufacturing plant based in Wacol and are going under a business transformation of their processes and systems. They are a highly stable company and in this position, you will interact with a collaborative team and help them drive continuos improvement initiatives in Procurement and Inventory. Job Description Some of the responsibilities of this role include: Responsible for end-to-end procurement and inventory management Implement a new Pronto module Proactively work with and provide support to the business in reducing inventory costs Maintains overview of supplier options and continuously searches for qualified suppliers and builds relationships with suppliers The Successful Applicant To be successful in this role you must: Have strong experience in a leadership position in Procurement, with a strong focus on supplier relationships, cost-saving initiatives, sourcing of new materials/better pricing Background in Heavy Machinery manufacturing or similar complex manufacturing environment Experience with system implementation is an advantage What's on Offer Opportunity to join a company during a transformation phase and help them implement Procurement and Inventory CI initiatives
