WHO YOU ARE
With comprehensive experience across all business finance roles, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Payroll, with over 5 years in senior-level finance positions within corporate group environments.
Strong technical and practical accounting skills, capable of interpreting and applying principles to real-world transactions, alongside a deep understanding of industry-specific accounting practices.
Demonstrated knowledge of general ICT practices and experience in administering and developing finance systems and processes.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and various finance software, with a superior understanding of project job costing and related systems.
Excellent attention to detail and proven data analysis skills, including modeling and forecasting, with experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls.
Strong ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and proven problem-solving skills for timely solution implementation.
Experienced with Jobpac or similar project-focused ERP systems and proficient in CRM database development, such as Salesforce.
A CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable, along with relevant accounting experience in the construction industry.
Familiar with various continuous improvement and project management methodologies.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop, implement, and maintain best practices by establishing financial systems, procedures, and internal controls to effectively mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by overseeing statutory, taxation, and audit obligations while providing training and support to finance staff on new practices.
Act as the subject-matter expert by managing and enhancing financial ERP and CRM systems, banking processes, and government services.
Plan and execute improvement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders to implement effective solutions and drive organisational enhancements.
Identify opportunities for optimisation by seeking out process automation and system integration possibilities to improve efficiency.
Develop and manage cash flow forecasts by gathering and organising data from stakeholders to create accurate financial models.
Utilise financial analysis to identify errors and information gaps, enhancing data integrity and efficiency.
Design and produce financial reports by creating new or ad-hoc reports based on operational needs, drawing from multiple data sources.
Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to the finance team with expert advice and investigation on financial issues.
Support the CFO closely by collaborating as needed to align on financial strategies and initiatives.
Perform additional relevant duties by undertaking tasks assigned by the CFO or Director as required.
