Job Title:Grid Connection Manager (Renewables)Location:Australia, MelbourneWe are seeking an experienced Grid Connection Manager with a background in the renewables industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in grid connection processes and be familiar with R0 and R1 industry standards. In this role, you will be responsible for managing communications between the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and Transmission Network Service Providers (TNSP) to ensure successful grid connection for renewable energy projects.Key Responsibilities:Grid Connection Management:Lead the grid connection process for renewable energy projects, from initial planning stages through to commissioning and energization.Coordinate all activities related to grid connection, including feasibility studies, network assessments, connection agreement negotiations, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables related to grid connection activities.Compliance with Industry Standards:Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, including R0 and R1 requirements, throughout the grid connection process.Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices related to grid connection, and implement necessary updates to ensure compliance.Communication with AEMO and TNSP:Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team, AEMO, and TNSP throughout the grid connection process.Facilitate regular meetings and communications to discuss project progress, address any issues or concerns, and obtain necessary approvals and permits.Risk Management:Identify potential risks and challenges associated with grid connection, and develop mitigation strategies to address them.Proactively monitor project milestones and timelines to identify and resolve any delays or obstacles that may impact grid connection deadlines.Stakeholder Coordination:Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure alignment and coordination of grid connection activities.Provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders on grid connection progress, milestones, and any relevant issues.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in grid connection management within the renewables industry.Strong understanding of grid connection processes, regulations, and industry standards, with specific knowledge of R0 and R1 requirements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, including AEMO, TNSP, project teams, and regulatory authorities.Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.#J-18808-Ljbffr
