PERSOLKELLY have recently been appointed as the sole recruitment partner for the Western Australian Electoral Commission and will be working to provide a 10,000 strong workforce, to deliver the next State election in 2025.
We are currently looking for the below roles to assist with the State Elections next year:- Issuing Officer Issuing Officer issues ballot papers to electors on polling day who reside within the district and are on the district's electoral roll.
Also rotates as a ballot box guard and a queue controller.
After 6 pm becomes counting officer on polling day to conduct the count.
Date - 8th March 2025 - 1 day work (weekend work)Time - 7.00 am - 9.00 pmLevel - 1.1Student Electoral Officer Year 11 or 12 students to assist in polling place duties performed by Officers.

Date - 8th March 2025 - 1 day work (weekend work)Time - 7.00 am - 6.00 pmLevel - 1.1Voter Information Officer Engaged centrally through the Electoral Ambassador program; may be assigned to polling places with high concentrations of culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) or indigenous electors; can perform other duties but are largely deployed to assist electors with language, literacy or other requirements.
Date - 24th February through 8th March 2025 (weekday and weekend work)Time - 8.00 am - 6.00 pm (24th February - 7th March 2025) and 7.00 am - 9.00 pm (8th March 2025)Level - 1.1General Assistant Larger polling places will have one to two General Assistants allocated to them.
They may assist with the setup of a polling place on the night before polling for a maximum of three hours.
On Polling Day they start at 5:30 pm to assist with the count and pack up.
Date - 7th March - 8th March 2025 (Friday and Saturday work)Time - 3 hours between 3.00 pm - 9.00 pm (7th March 2025) and 5.30 pm - 10.30 pm (8th March 2025)Level - 1.1Ballot Box Guard Ensures the correct ballot box papers are put into the ballot boxes (also rotates as issuing officer and queue controller) After 6 pm - becomes a counting officer to conduct the counting of the ballot papers.
