We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic General Manager to lead our mining operations across Rainbow, Victoria. About the Opportunity Reporting to the Board, you will drive the strategic direction and oversee the daily management of the operation, ensuring profitability and safety in a fluctuating seasonal environment. More specifically, you will:
Develop business development plans that focus on maximising growth and opportunities.Oversee all operations including machinery, fleet, site mining and production, sales, administration and customer relationships, ensuring efficient processes and quality output.Manage financial performance and workflow through budgets, forecasting, planning, and maintaining profitability through both high-demand and off-peak seasons.Build and foster strong relationships with various stakeholders including customers, suppliers, operators and industry regulators, acting as the key liaison between all stakeholders.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as implementing risk management strategies.About You To be successful in this highly rewarding role, you will demonstrate strong alignment with the values and strategic vision of Brown's Gypsum. Additionally, you will bring:
Proven experience in senior management roles, preferably within the mining, agriculture, horticulture or construction sectors.Authentic leadership skills with the ability to engage and guide teams through seasonal fluctuations.Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management.Excellent communication skills to effectively build solid long-term relationships with customers and operators.A passion for progress and innovation, with a focus on continuous improvement and business development.Flexibility to adjust to change and ability to problem-solve, particularly in ensuring operational and financial targets are met or exceeded year-round.Tertiary education in Business, Construction or Project Management.Interested?
