Our recent growth and the expectation of this continuing has provided an opportunity for the right person/people to join our talented and tight team based in Hobart (Mornington).
There are several positions available.
There will be a significant training regime to allow the successful application to progress through our organisation and the subsequent pay levels that follow. We expect that the right people will progress from Level 1 to Level 4 within 12 weeks, but that is up to you! Desired Requirements Current Full Drivers Licence in Tasmania; Current Medium Rigid Truck Licence (or ability to obtain); A 'can do' attitude with a focus on finding solutions for our customers; Has own reliable vehicle; A strong degree of physical fitness. Other Favourable Requirements Experience in the hospitality sector or in event management; Current Forklift licence (or ability to obtain); Experience in a logistics/warehousing role; Current Construction 'White Card' (or ability to obtain); Working with Vulnerable People Accreditation (or ability to obtain); Working at Heights Certificate (or ability to obtain); Experience with the assembly of marquee structures. This position is required to perform the following duties from time to time as directed: Load and perform customer deliveries (local and statewide); Loading and unloading of goods into vehicles, either owned by Salters or their customers; General cleaning of equipment and hire items such as chairs, glasses, flooring, tables; Set-up of various equipment onsite at Salters clients premises; Operate machinery as required; To assist in the erection of marquees, flooring and other items as required; Picking and packing customer orders; General maintenance of property and hire equipment; Performing customer service activities both face to face and via telephone; General warehousing and store operations tasks; Plus any other requirements as directed by Salters Hire. Overtime will be paid and is an expected requirement of the role during peak periods. A company uniform will be provided. We also offer 5 weeks annual leave and a monthly RDO, together with laundry and phone allowances.
