We are now seeking a motivated, passionate, and driven Game Development Officers in the Metro North, Metro Central and Metro South Football District on an ongoing casual basis. Successful candidates will be appointed early 2025. Currently, we are looking to fill multiple positions in the following roles through the Perth region:
School & Community ClinicsAFL NinesPromotional ProgramsFooty FundamentalsInclusion & All AbilitiesKey Responsibilities: The nature of the Game Development Officer role is diverse and works across multiple areas within the WA Football Commission with the major aim to grow and promote football participation. Duties are dependent on the appointed role and may include:
Assist with the delivery of Auskick Gala Days/CarnivalsLiaise and work with parents and football volunteersOpportunities for before & after school Auskick clinicsSchool & Community Clinics – weekday/school holiday work Plan, prepare and deliver Primary and Secondary School Football ClinicsPlan, prepare and deliver Community Football ClinicsDeliver Come and Try Clinics/Free School Days – Auskick and Primary/Secondary SchoolsAssist with delivery of the Nicky Winmar/ Kirby Bentley CarnivalPromote football as a sport of choiceHelp & assist in Starkick Carnivals and ActivitiesAssist with AFL/AFLW Half-Time including Auskick and Little LeagueOpportunity to work at Optus Stadium, including being on ground!Delivery of Half-Time Little League at the WAFL venueAssist with Auskick activations as requiredAFL Nines and Superkick - Weekday Work Coordinate the delivery of AFL Nines and Superkick CompetitionsFootball Fundamentals - Weekday/Weekend Work Coordinating and delivery of the programWorking with ages 2-5 on the fundamentals of FootballWorking with parentsRun on a smaller scaleAs these roles are casual, there is also flexibility to pick up a combination of weekday and weekend work within other AFL programs.

The first round of interviews will take place by phone throughout late January. All applicants must be available for a 20-minute phone interview where you will be provided further information on the role and asked to provide some basic information about yourself and your experience.
This will be followed by a second round of interviews which will be held in a group face-to-face setting and will include some practical football coach development and additional induction content. This will be held at Tuart College and is tentatively set for Wednesday 5th February 3pm – 6:30pm.
