What you can expect in a day in the role As a Greenkeeper or Greenkeeper Apprentice, you will bring a passion for grounds keeping and maintaining a high standard for golf course upkeep. With a love for golf, the outdoors and a strong understanding of tasks, equipment, and turf care, every day will bring something new.
Daily duties include:
Bunker maintenanceRepairs and minor renovationsMowing and trimmingCourse setupWeather monitoringEquipment maintenanceTree and shrub careIrrigation managementWhat you'll bring to the role Along with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented mindset, you will bring the following skills, experience and qualifications to the role:
Certificate in Sports Turf Management (An Apprenticeship is available if you do not currently have this qualification)Excellent availability across a 7-day rotating rosterPassion for the outdoors and golf course designLandscaping experienceA forklift license and chemical handling certificate would be advantageous.An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
