Freight Forwarding Business Development Specialist Reporting directly to the head of sales, the Freight Forwarding Business Development Specialist is responsible for driving market share by actively managing portfolios and pipelines. It entails driving revenue growth through proactive lead generation, sales initiatives, and the establishment and nurturing of customer networks. The successful candidate will take full ownership of devising and implementing dynamic business development strategies geared towards achieving ambitious revenue and profit growth objectives.

Our client coordinates deliveries, establishes strategic liaisons with clients, and proactively resolves issues to maintain a continuous flow of operations
Description Overall, the key areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to):
Formulate and implement comprehensive sales plans aimed at achieving and surpassing set sales targets and projections. Develop and carry out metrics, programs, policies, strategies, and procedures to enhance market share. Discover and capture new business opportunities within both current and potential customer accounts. Develop and maintain a strong network of customer contacts within existing and prospective organisations. Work closely with relevant departments to ensure customer service requirements are met. Keep sales volume, product mix, and pricing strategies aligned with supply and demand, market trends, economic indicators, and competitor activities. Modify selling prices by evaluating costs, competition, and market supply and demand. Provide monthly sales reports to the Country Head of Sales & Marketing and senior management. Profile To be considered for this role you will have/ be:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics & Freight Forwarding industry. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or equivalent. Full Australian working rights. Extensive understanding of the Logistics and Freight Forwarding sectors. Excellent skills in organisation, business communication, and negotiation. Proficient in utilising sales processes to identify customer requirements, offer suitable solutions, and finalise deals. Demonstrated capability to handle multiple tasks and generate profitable revenue across various accounts. Exceptional ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors. Job Offer What's on offer Our client is seeking their next business development superstar. In return, you can expect a base salary of $125,000 -$135,000 + super + $15,000 car allowance + commission and flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to develop your skills and grow your career.
