About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mine Foreperson to join our team. As Mine Foreperson you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and organising of Underground Mining Operations ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Our supportive culture fosters collaboration and innovation.Exciting Projects: Work on challenging and innovative projects that make a real impact in the mining industry, contributing to your professional satisfaction and growth.Position objectives and responsibilities: Planning and Coordination: Oversee and plan the activities of personnel engaged in underground mining, ensuring effective utilisation of resources.Data Review and Consultation: Analyse maps, survey reports, and geological records in collaboration with engineering and supervisory personnel to guide mine development.Regulatory Compliance: Interpret mining laws and safety regulations, issuing directives to ensure adherence by all workers.Record Keeping: Consolidate and review safety and production records to ensure compliance with the Mines Act.Supervision: Lead Underground Shift Supervisors, providing direction and assistance in planning mining activities in line with safety and environmental regulations.Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients to manage expectations and achieve projected targets safely and to specifications.Relief Site Management: Act as Alternate Project Manager during absences, ensuring adherence to schedules, programs, and targets.Workforce Management: Coordinate personnel, prepare rosters, schedule annual leave, and assist in the deployment of the workforce.Safety Management: Respond promptly to any safety issues, ensuring thorough incident reporting and follow-up.Equipment Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of plant and equipment, maintaining communication with the Maintenance Department for scheduling.Inventory Management: Ensure accurate accounting of inventory on a shift-by-shift basis, in compliance with the Mines Act.Skills, Experience and Attributes: Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Underground Mining Industry.Strong production and development background, with operator experience.Proven ability to coordinate activities and schedule Labor effectively.Ability to assess mining conditions and recognise potential hazards and risks.Excellent verbal communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.Strong listening skills and the ability to follow instructions.Understanding of mining equipment applications.Experience in implementing and maintaining training programs.Knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to manage disputes.Qualifications: Underground WA Shift Supervisor Certificate or First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency.Senior First Aid Certificate.Current and Valid Manual Australian Drivers Licence (C- Class minimum).
