You'll be based at our warehouse and responsible for the quality of our e-vehicles. You will come to know our e-vehicles from top to bottom, inside and out, and will be capable of doing anything from quick repairs to total refurbishments if necessary. We are looking for someone who takes real pride in their work and ensures that Beam's e-vehicles remain the safest and most reliable vehicles out there.Your day will also include:Supporting other warehouse operations as needed (e.g. taking delivery of new e-vehicles)Repair and refurbish of our e-vehiclesCommunicating with your Operations team on supply requirements (e.g. spare parts)Working with the Operations team to monitor and maintain stock accuracy against our inventory management systemKeeping our warehouse and work areas tidyOverseeing waste disposalThinking about, and sharing, ways we can improve our productivity and streamline our processesFollowing and adhering to our internal processes and procedures, particularly those relating to WH&SMeeting our warehouse KPIsSupporting the onboarding of our new warehouse team members as requiredMay be required depending on location to rebalance scooters from end-trip areas to hotspots and Swap batteries to ensure our scooters are fully charged for ridersRequirements for Fleet Technician:Have previous mechanical experienceYou're smartphone savvy - you'll frequently use our Beam app and SlackAble to communicate effectively with your team and keep them up to date on work in progressAble to organise your own day and prioritise tasks with support from Operations Team.Have high standards and strong attention to detailMotivated, energetic and physically fit; comfortable lifting and moving 25kg+ e-vehicles throughout your shiftKeen to learn new skills and adapt to new conceptsAble to use initiative and creativity to solve problems that ariseWhat you'll be doing as a Van Marshal:Operate our vans to deploy, redistribute and swap batteries on our fleet of e-vehiclesPatrol the city to ensure that our e-vehicles are appropriately parked and that the city remains neat and tidyConduct in-field quality checks and collect any damaged e-vehicles for repair at the warehousePerform basic maintenance on Beam e-vehicles to ensure that our riders will continue using the safest and most reliable vehiclesEvaluate and provide feedback to the Operations team on current and potential parking locationsReport any bad behavior of riders to the Operations team in line with Beam's Three Strikes policy against anti-social behaviorSupport the marketing and promotion of Beam's services, such as by helping people who have questions about the company, how to create a Beam account or how to safely ride an e-vehicleAssist with recovering lost and missing scootersFollow established safety procedures and techniques to perform dutiesProblem solve issues when in the field and find creative ways to overcome obstacles.Requirements for Van Marshal:Valid Driver LicenseMeet the requirements of our van insurance - generally need to be at least 25 years oldExcellent driving skills, you need to treat the van like your own. You are comfortable driving a van (previous van / heavy vehicle driving experience desirable)Willing and able to complete physically demanding work, you will be lifting our e-vehicles of approx. 25kgs in and out of the van throughout your shiftSmartphone savvy with access to your personal phone. You will be using the Beam app and Slack throughout your shiftGood communicator capable of working with both internal staff and customersAble to work effectively within a team and solo on shiftsWilling to learn and adapt to new policies, procedures, and conceptsAttention to detail and sense of pride in your workGood understanding of the local area is desirablePay Rate: $30.10 per hour (include casual loading)#J-18808-Ljbffr
