We are looking for our next Financial Crime Analyst to join our Financial Crime team, based in our Head Office in Hobart. This is an exciting opportunity that helps keep our customer safe by mitigating the risks associated with financial crime. A Day in the Life: On any given day you will undertake a dynamic blend of tasks, focused on ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating financial crime risks. Through analysing transactional behaviours, investigating unusual cases and providing regular reporting, you will help us stay one step ahead of financial crime. Critical thinking and decision making is important to ensure you are putting your talents to good use here. If you can sift through the large amount of data and come out with simple observations, your day has been a success. To be successful, you should have: Completion of relevant industry-specific certificates and courses, as determined suitable by the hiring organisation, along with participation in development activities pertinent to the role's requirements. Minimum of 3 years' experience in industries such as Banking, Finance, or related fields, demonstrating familiarity with financial processes and regulations. Understanding of legislation concerning privacy, money laundering, terrorism financing, confidentiality, freedom of information, trade practices, and other relevant laws essential to the role's responsibilities.
