The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This role will play a critical role in driving the financial success and strategic growth of our company.Responsibilities - Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. - Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts. - Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and performance improvement initiatives to our SLT. - Collaborate with other departments to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial KPIs. - Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies as needed. - Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes to inform financial strategies and mitigate risks. - Mentor and develop finance team members to ensure a high level of performance and professional growth.Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA certification preferred. - Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in the foodservice distribution or related industry. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting requirements. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Pronto ERP system). - Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. - Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.Benefits - Competitive salary commensurate with experience. - Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and retirement savings plan. - Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a growing company.Join our team and help us continue to deliver excellence in foodservice distribution across Victoria!
