If you are looking to work for an organisation where you can make a difference, then this is the job for you.Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will provide a high level of professional and timely financial management to the organisation across a broad range of accounting activities.As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for, and contribute to, the financial well-being of the organisation by ensuring accurate and compliant financial practices relating to all aspects of financial management.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the CFO to implement supportive working practices which can evolve with the growth and changing nature of the business.Manage and ensure the integrity of the fixed assets register.Manage the calculation and posting of prepayments and accruals.Reconcile cash banked to weekly store revenue reports.Reconcile inter-company and other key balance sheet accounts.Prepare the quarterly BAS for each company in the Group.Process payroll for 160+ staff.Ensure compliance with all taxation obligations.Review current practices and where possible, suggest improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the role.Undertake the role of Finance Manager when required.EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTSTertiary qualifications in Accounting, with CPA/CA qualifications, or progress towards.3 years minimum experience performing a similar role in a large and complex organisation.Excellent knowledge of payroll processes, including Award interpretation.Highly developed customer service skills, and experience in building and maintaining business partnerships.Highly developed computer skills, with the ability to learn new systems when required.High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and developed organisational and work practice skills including the ability to prioritise workload.Highly developed written, verbal and analytical skills with the ability to "think outside the box" and problem solve.Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment.WHAT'S ON OFFERFamily values organisation with flexible working practices.Permanent full-time position with an annual salary of up to $115,000 plus superannuation.Generous discounts on all products.Regular organised social events.Free on-site parking.IMPORTANT TO NOTESOS Recruitment is committed to the principles of workplace diversity and equity in employment and we encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people with disabilities, women, people with family responsibilities, people with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs and LGBTIQ people.Applicants must be an Australian citizen or hold Permanent Residency and have the ability to undergo employment suitability checks.#J-18808-Ljbffr
