Finance Business Partner and Data Analyst / Management Accountant Australian Department of Health and Aged Care – Hobart TAS
FBPs at the APS 6 level are expected, under limited direction, to:
Assist with providing strategic and operational financial advice to Group management and through the central Finance function to the Department's Executive Committee. Assist with the delivery of timely, accurate and value-add advice across a range of funding sources. Work with stakeholders to link financial activities to their business plans and priorities. Assist with the development of opportunities to improve services to clients and corporate stakeholders. Provide financial information and advice to support the preparation of statutory reporting obligations, briefs, and audit activities. Key responsibilities for the Data Analyst / Management Accountant role are:
Manage month end finance processes and reporting of administered funding, supporting executive reporting to the Program Assurance Committee and Executive Committee. Assist with the analysis, modelling and forecasting of administered expenditure, including liaising with Budget Branch to update budgets as required. Review, update, analyse and interpret financial information and prepare specialist financial advice, including variance analysis for the executive and the Department of Finance. Manage inventory processing including reconciliations and reporting. Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to improve the visibility and management of administered funding across the department and problem solve as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
