The Role:
We are seeking a skilled project assistant & estimator with experience in the building industry to join our team! The role involves managing schedules for various trades on site, conducting site inspections, preparing reports, and creating accurate project estimates.
What Are We Looking For?
To excel in this role, you should have:
A minimum of 24 months experience working in this industry or in 3 projects. Previous experience in the construction, building, engineering, or building materials industry. Minimum diploma of Building and Construction Cert IV. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, experience using BuildTrend software, and ideally knowledge of SketchUp. This role also offers a range of monetary and non-monetary benefits including: A hands-on leader who will provide you with mentoring.
Competitive remuneration: approx. $70,000-$75,000 + super Responsibilities: Contractor administration, project estimation, bill of quantity, construction schedule, and task checklist management. Weekly reporting to the director, liaising with the site supervisor and foreman. Coordinating and scheduling trades and subcontractors for multiple sites. Performing regular site visits to inspect work and provide detailed reports. Ensuring all work aligns with company standards and timelines. Organizing schedules and managing multiple trades effectively. Preparing quotes and understanding cost estimation. Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills are required. You will also need excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as this is a client-facing role. You'll need to present information and respond to inquiries from managers, sales teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
