To help meet the ESG expectations of our investors, customers, and external stakeholders, and support our strategy and purpose, we have a purpose-built function. ESG Governance is one of the pillars of this function, alongside Disclosure & Reporting, Analytics & Advisory, and Social Impact & Community. Reporting to the Head of ESG Governance, the Manager, ESG Targets will work to improve and protect the value of ANZ's business and reputation by supporting effective governance and oversight for our $ billion social and environmental sustainability target. The work undertaken in this role takes place against the background of increasingly high levels of social, government, investor, and customer scrutiny of the bank's ESG targets and policies. This role will work closely with the Head of ESG Governance and the Sustainable Finance, Legal Advisory and ESG Disclosure & Reporting teams. Melbourne, VIC What will your day look like? Supporting the administration of ANZ's $ billion social and environmental sustainability target including: Maintaining the target SharePoint register, including the target guidance document, and ensuring eligible activities (transactions and investments) are entered into the register. Maintaining the target methodology and internal governance documents, ensuring the target process is well governed. Liaising with business units to ensure activity information is recorded correctly. Liaising with Steering Group representatives and ensuring potentially qualifying activities are reviewed against target eligibility criteria. Conducting quarterly Steering Group meetings (including agendas, minutes, etc.). Quarterly reporting of progress against the target, including external reporting at the half year, and external assurance and external reporting of progress at year end. Supporting the administration of ANZ's commitments to the Queensland government relating to Suncorp integration ($15 billion in renewable energy lending and $10 billion in energy lending), including assisting with completing the design of any required process for tracking these targets that is a component of or separate to the $ billion target. Overseeing engagement with Steering Group members. Leading engagement with external assurance at half and full year. Building and maintaining awareness of these targets with frontline bankers and monitor deal announcements to help identify possible eligible deals. Benchmarking of peer bank ESG financing targets and methodologies.

What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Record of achievement in a similar or like role including experience in sustainable finance and institutional banking. Experience in research and data analysis. Data reformatting and data presentation skills (Excel). Excellent analytical, writing and communications skills, including the ability to understand and simplify complex matters involving different areas. Strong relationship skills to engage internal stakeholders. Strong organisation and project management skills and an ability to drive outcomes. Excellent understanding of financial services and its operating environment.
