As the Enterprise Architect – Networking, Security and Integration Technologies, you'll provide specialist coverage for infrastructure and middleware system software and be responsible for defining and maintaining enterprise and domain architectures, ensuring alignment with domain and group standards.
You will also provide strategic insights, update the architecture repository with significant technical changes, and prepare architecture standards and roadmaps.
This role balances the need for comprehensive architectures with rapid Agile delivery, promotes the value of enterprise architecture, and ensures cost-effective solutions that meet business objectives.
What you'll do
Maintain a broad understanding of business and technology capabilities across the group, ensuring alignment between IT strategy and business strategy
Provide strategic guidance and prepare architecture standards and roadmaps to ensure consistent and accurate enterprise architecture
Ensure any architecturally significant changes to the technical landscape are reflected in the enterprise architecture repository
Engage in early and ongoing strategic initiatives, providing consultancy to stakeholders on technology impacts and ensuring alignment with architectural principles
Lead architecture process improvement initiatives and promote consistent architectural practices across the group
Assess portfolio work to ensure alignment with business strategy, identify overlaps and gaps, and make recommendations for rationalization and reuse
Engage with technology vendors, conduct product evaluations, and stay informed on market trends to educate business representatives and advance the group's technology capabilities
What you'll bring
Tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience
Architectural certification such as TOGAF, SABSA, Open CA, or others, is expected
A minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 5 years in IT Architecture and/or Security Architecture demonstrating solution design and delivery principles
Strong knowledge and experience on networking technologies is expected, covering LANs and WANs for networking on-premises, on AWS and Azure clouds, and for connectivity from on-premises to the clouds
Strong knowledge and experience on security technology platforms is expected, covering firewalls, proxies, load balancers on premises, as well as SaaS and managed cloud-native services for AWS and Azure
Strong knowledge and experience on application and data integration technologies is expected, covering API management, API gateways, message queues, ESB, managed file transfer, SFTP, ETL, ELT, EDA, as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and cloud-native managed services for AWS and Azure
Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies is highly desired
Familiarity with architecture modelling tools such as ArchiMate or Horizzon, and having a consulting background, is advantageous
