Job no: 500646 Work type: Permanent Location: Rockhampton Categories: Enrolled Nurse Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is looking for an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our Sister Collette Unit (The Papaya Unit). The positions are part-time roles and will be based at our Rockhampton City campus. This specialised 12-bed unit (separate from the surgical ward) will be a short-stay ward for patients waiting on a spot in a nursing home. Although this is a surgical unit, you will require significant medical skills.
It is a requirement of the position that you can work a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekend shifts. Salary range: $35.88 – $38.21 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900.
What you'll be doing We are searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Enrolled Nurse to continue to provide clinical expertise in a dignified and respectful manner, working closely with patients and their families to ensure a sensitive, welcoming, and friendly environment at all times, whilst providing optimal patient outcomes.
About you The successful candidates must have:
Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)Considerable Acute Nursing experience, preferably in a medical environmentHigh level of communication skills, including the ability to relate to elder patients in a dignified and respectful mannerThe ability to contribute effectively and efficiently within a busy, multidisciplinary team environmentThe successful applicant will be a self-motivated self-starter who can work collaboratively with other specialty representatives to achieve a common goal. Further, you will be committed to providing quality care and service to patients and their families.
