The Werribee Mercy Hospital Emergency Department is a mixed ED that serves the growing community of Werribee and its surrounds.
40 mins from the Melbourne CBD.
The Emergency Department receives approximately 34,000 presentations per year with a mix of approx. 80% adult and 20% paediatric. We have an 18 bed department, an 8 bed short stay unit and we are the regional trauma centre. MPBH also acts as a referral centre to metropolitan hospitals as required.
Working in a highly collaborative and supportive team environment, the Staff Specialist Emergency Physician will provide exceptional emergency care within a multi-disciplinary team of medical officers and nursing staff to patients of the hospital. As the you will meet the ACEM requirements for the role, have involvement in educational supervision, coordinate rotations and provide In-Training Assessments. The DEMT also works to ensure compliance with the ACEM training program and has responsibility for ACEM Trainees on-site.
