The Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems (Maritime) Systems Program Office (EWIS- M SPO) is seeking applications from a talented and experienced Technical Specialist Configuration Manager to work on acquisition and sustainment configuration management activities for sensors-related electronic warfare products fitted to Royal Australian Navy (RAN) platforms.

As an EL 1 Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for leading, planning, and delivering critical and very complex technical activities.
You will be expected to provide advice to a variety of technical peers while working to agreed priorities and outcomes.
In this role, you will be responsible for exercising assigned technical authorities and any Technical Regulatory Authority delegations.

You will maintain integrity and security through ongoing governance and risk mitigation strategies while assessing technical work packages, reports, processes, product, and equipment performance content to meet specified requirements.

About our Team
EWIS-M SPO provides acquisition and sustainment support for a number of maritime electronic warfare systems and specialist signals intelligence capabilities.
The SPO delivers these capabilities to both the ADF and United States Navy.
This role will form part of the Modernisation of Maritime Electronic Warfare (MMEW) Project, which is critical in developing Australian sovereign technology and transforming it into capability.
MMEW operates under a continuous capability development and delivery framework to support maritime electronic warfare.

EWIS-M SPO is widely dispersed across Australia, with this position based in Russell, ACT.
The successful applicant will participate in an integrated team, including APS, ADF, and Contracted staff, to deliver and sustain capabilities in accordance with operational and compliance requirements, budget, and service agreements.

Ability to lead, plan and deliver critical, very complex technical activities within a specialist field and provide advice working to agreed priorities and outcomes. Effective problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills. Capacity to think strategically and develop configuration management plans and processes to enhance the achievement of project and program management outcomes. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and tasks with varying levels of complexity. High level organisational skills, self-drive, and initiative with the ability to influence others to achieve tasks and business objectives. Ability to ensure safety aspects of Defence capability are considered and incorporated into technical configuration activities and tasks is advantageous. Ability to evaluate technical activities to understand critical factors for success, and engage in continuous improvement and innovation.
