An opportunity to be part of a panel of communications consultants and creatives on the Australian Government's Climate Resilient Communities program in the Indo-Pacific, covering the Pacific, Southeast Asia, and South Asia regions.
About the Program
Initiated in July 2024, Climate Resilient Communities (CRC) aims to ensure people in the Indo-Pacific are more resilient to climate change and disasters.
Led by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), CRC supports implementation of Australia's climate change commitments and International Development Policy , in line with partner government priorities. CRC incentivises funding towards inclusive climate and disaster resilience programming, with a focus on the water, food, and energy sectors.
DT Global has been engaged by DFAT to support implementation of CRC.
About the Role
CRC is recruiting communications consultants to join its Communications and Creatives Panel. Panel members will provide high-quality technical and strategic communications support, advice, and capacity development on climate programs across the Indo-Pacific.
A range of opportunities may arise for members of the Communications and Creatives Panel. Consultants with experience working in the Indo-Pacific, with all levels of experience are encouraged to apply, including early career professionals.
About You
CRC is looking to engage consultants with skills, expertise, and experience in the following areas:
Strategic communications specialists Communication assistants Event managers Freelance photographers and videographers located in the Indo-Pacific Freelance writers and editors (reports, case studies, stories, news, blogs) Microsoft Word formatting experts Graphic designers Communications for Development (C4D) specialists Video editors Selection Criteria
Experience working on international development programs Experience living and/or working in countries where DFAT implements development programs Familiarity with DFAT requirements Understanding and commitment to gender equality, disability equity and rights, social inclusion Excellent verbal and written communications skills Highly developed stakeholder engagement and management skills Ability to work in teams – cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary, in person and virtually, and with diverse levels of experience Proven ability to develop the capacity of others and share knowledge and learning Commitment to professional development, including continuous learning and upskilling, as needed. Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant or related fields of expertise Technical capacity and expertise of relevant professional experience in the Indo-Pacific Ability and self-initiative to carry out assigned tasks in a team under minimal supervision as well as an individual on a specific assignment Engagement & Remuneration
Successful candidates will be placed on the panel managed by DT Global and contracted through a Deed of Standing Offer. Opportunities will be made available to members on an as-needed basis, and panel members will be invited to quote for opportunities (depending on the requirements of the task). Each time a consultant on the Panel is offered an assignment, a services order will be signed outlining the terms of the assignment.
