The key duties of the position include The Role
We need Directors who can lead business, policy, program and project functions. We currently have EL2 roles to fill in a variety of areas across ICD.
Our Business and Policy focused Directors engage with a range of stakeholders to shape a One Defence approach to policy and planning issues, including reviews, legislation, and enterprise related matters. These Directors are instrumental in aligning our strategies and approaches to drive services and tangible outcomes for our customers.
We are also the Capability Manager for many intelligence related functions and have Program Director roles that involve stewarding multiple acquisition style Projects through the capability life cycle (we are not a delivery agency).We are seeking candidates to lead and inspire dynamic teams to achieve strategic objectives and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. The teams you lead and manage are diverse and highly specialised consisting of ADF, APS and industry staff. You will also employ a high level of initiative and interpersonal skills to motivate and get the best from multiple teams across the enterprise.
You will need to confidently engage with a broad range of project stakeholders within the Group, and build rapport with relevant interdependent areas across Defence.

About our Team
The Intelligence Capability Division (ICD), within the Defence Intelligence Group, coordinates and manages intelligence enterprise capability and critical support functions on behalf of the Chief of Defence Intelligence. The Division is responsible for diverse services, programs/projects and functions that enable intelligence outcomes across various Groups and Services within Defence. This includes enabling warfighting tactical intelligence staff up to, and including, those informing strategic decisions.
