Director Targeted Research And Strategic Evaluation

Our client is a Federal Agency looking for a Director Targeted Research and Strategic Evaluation. In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking work of high complexity and sensitivity, delivering quality outcomes across various functions within this agency. This role requires exercising a significant degree of independence and making high-level decisions and judgments. The successful candidate will coordinate and assume responsibility for highly complex or sensitive projects and work program outcomes that have strategic or operational significance to the agency. Paying $750-$900 a day + 11% Super - assignment for 12 months, possibility of extension based on business needs. You must be an Australian Citizen to apply for this role. Key Responsibilities: Managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust mixed methods research and evaluations, including inferential statistical analyses. Developing and managing program logic models, theory of change, and evaluation frameworks. Leading the utilization of existing and new data for measuring outcomes for the NDIS and its participants. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, representing and negotiating on behalf of the NDIA. Overseeing the preparation of high-quality written evaluation findings, including business cases, Parliamentary briefs, and Agency documentation. Promoting a culture of evaluative thinking across the NDIA and building the capacity of other business units to undertake evaluations of their activities. Collaborating with the Research and Evaluation Branch leadership team to deliver the Research and Evaluation Strategy. About you - essential skills: Extensive experience in research, evaluation, and strategic analysis roles, preferably within the public sector or related fields. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and complex projects. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
