What you will do Reporting to the Vice President - Business Development, you will drive cross-functional collaboration, lead a specialised team of application engineers, and interface with regulatory bodies to ensure the timely and successful certification of our products. Other key responsibilities include:
Develop and execute a comprehensive homologation strategy with the Volvo Group Australia homologation manager, aligning with company objectives and market entry timelines. Lead, mentor, and develop the VGA homologation manager and TSSC engineers, fostering a culture of compliance excellence and continuous improvement. Responsible for the expenses budget for department. Determine the department business plan in line with the Project Portfolio Management strategy. Who are you? To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional leadership qualities with a focus on building high-performing and collaborative functions. Other attributes include:
A proven track record of successfully managing homologation projects for heavy-duty trucks or similar vehicles across multiple international markets. Extensive experience and a deep knowledge of homologation, global heavy-duty truck regulatory requirements, including emissions standards (e.g., Euro VI, EPA), safety regulations (e.g., FMVSS, ECE), and environmental compliance. RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer Queensland). Strong project management skills, with experience managing complex, cross-functional projects within tight timelines. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively interacting with regulatory bodies, industry stakeholders, and senior executives.
