HSSG is a unit of the Public Health System Support Division of the Health Administration Corporation to provide services to support the public health system in implementing Government targets and programs.
About this role The Director, Financial Analytics provides high level professional advice and identifies strategies relating to systems, outcomes and benefits of programs delivered by the System Purchasing Branch (SPB).
The role will particularly focus on the systems utilised, reporting generated, and translation of outcomes achieved of the various programs implemented and supported by SPB including the Efficiency Improvement Program, and all initiatives relating to Service Agreement development and administration including budget supplementation and redevelopment proposals.
The Director reports on the performance of the programs across all NSW Health entities.
The Director is expected to have a sound understanding of how health services operate, bring strong financial judgement, extensive program / project management reporting experience at an Executive level, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and have the ability to identify, assess and drive opportunities for improvement.

Selection Criteria Demonstrated superior leadership skills in a complex public health organisation with proven success in developing high performance teams and outputs.
Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in business, finance, or a related discipline and/or substantial experience in financial management, controls, analysis and reporting arrangements at a senior level with extensive knowledge of the service delivery and financial challenges facing NSW Health.
Substantial experience in preparing and evaluating complex submissions and business cases, developing funding models, and providing high level strategic financial or economic advice at executive level for public health services.
Highly developed organisational, project and program management skills to ensure the effective coordination of reform program objectives and reporting requirements across a large, complex organisation.
High-level strategic analytical ability and demonstrated experience in the development of innovative solutions, administration of program and performance reporting systems and reports, with particular expertise in efficiency improvements.
Strong written communication skills and excellent communication, interpersonal, consultation, networking, and negotiation skills to foster productive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
Demonstrated experience in the identification and successful implementation of financial and process improvement strategies.
Sound judgement and a strong and proven capacity for working independently, with minimal supervision and a high level of initiative, in achieving role accountabilities.
