We are seeking a skilled and motivated Development Scientist with a passion for earth science or physics, to join a dynamic and innovative team within a cutting-edge research facility.
This full-time contract role offers an opportunity to provide research leadership for the development and implementation of new and improved chemical processes in radiocarbon dating and accelerator mass spectrometry.
As part of an internationally recognised team, you will collaborate with a diverse user community, apply your expertise to improve capabilities, and contribute to ground-breaking scientific discoveries.
Key Skills and Experience Required: A PhD in Chemistry or a related discipline, with post-doctoral or equivalent experience;Proven track record of impactful research and scientific publications;Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with users and stakeholders;Demonstrated ability to think independently and creatively, applying innovative problem-solving skills to address complex challenges and deliver insightful, effective outcomes;A customer-focused mindset, thriving in a multicultural scientific user facility;A strong commitment to adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Eligibility: Must be an Australian citizen and able to secure and maintain a Security Clearance.Join a team dedicated to leveraging science for significant outcomes.
