Role Highlights Client-focused role Work with a dynamic and enthusiastic team About the Business Our Inclusion, Supports and Safeguarding Division brings together policy and reform advice, while helping those experiencing vulnerability to participate safely and securely in our economy and remain connected with the community. It also provides grants to community groups and non-government organisations to expand services to support people and offers interpreting services in 110 languages, including several First Nations.
Role Details The Program Leader, Aboriginal Language Interpreting Service (ALIS) is a role within Inclusion, Support and Safeguarding and is accountable to the Manager, Interpreting and Translating Centre for:
Contributing to the efficient operation of the Aboriginal Language Interpreting Service call centre and bookings, by receiving and allocating interpreting and translating requests. Providing a case management approach to recruitment, supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of interpreters, and providing on-the-job training to interpreters. Providing advice and support across the program for delivery and coordination of high quality and effective communication tools and documents. Special Conditions Only people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent may apply (pursuant to Section 56(2) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984). National Police Check required.
